NEW FEATURES
Easily Edit Headshots and Company Logos right in Novi!
An exciting new feature gives users and admins the ability to manipulate and adjust logos and headshots directly within Novi AMS! No more pre-upload resizing using third parties.
This feature is available on the backend (admin) and the frontend (members). When a company logo or profile image (headshot) is uploaded to a record in Novi, there are two options available:
Zoom: A zoom bar to resize the image
Drag: The ability to click and drag the image within the frame
This is the original upload placement:
The image has been adjusted (zoomed out):
After clicking the Set Crop button, this is the final image placement:
Two of the biggest advantages are:
If a company logo needs white space added to the edges so it doesn't get cutoff, you can zoom out until the entire logo is showing in the frame.
If a headshot is uploaded and showing in the wrong position (e.g. the image is centered and the person's head is not completely in the frame), you can drag the image down/up and left/right until the placement looks good.
NOTE: This will not automatically update any existing images.

Customize the Welcome Email for New Members
Have you been wanting to be able to send a unique welcome message to your new members? Admins can now customize the transactional email that is sent out after registering for membership. Each Member Type has its own welcome email, so they can be the same or unique - up to you!
Please note that by default, the welcome email is NOT enabled. You will need to enable this for your member types.
NOVI Tip: Included in this new feature is the ability to turn off the welcome email, which is a great option for associations that mail a welcome packet instead. Or, even if you mail a welcome letter, you can keep the welcome email enabled and edit the message to say that a welcome packet is being mailed.
Learn more about the welcome email options here.

FEATURE UPDATES
Dues Invoice Transaction and Due Dates Update
**NOTE: See Sprint 84 Release Notes For An Update On This Information**
We've heard your feedback regarding dues transactions, and in order to help ensure that revenue is booked in the proper period, we made some changes to transaction and due dates.
For example, let's say that a member auto-renewed 60 days prior to their expiration date. In the old way, the dues invoice transaction date was the day of renewal. Now, that transaction date will be the day after current expiration date or today, whichever is greater. This way, dues that are being billed for the following period are dated in that period.
Here's a brief summary of all of the changes:
Registering for membership
Transaction Date: Today
Due Date: Today
Auto Renewal
Transaction Date: The day after current expiration date or today, whichever is greater
Due Date: Expiration date + number of days given in member type setting
Manual Renewal (both front end and back end)
Transaction Date: The day after current expiration date or today, whichever is greater
Due Date: The day after current expiration date or today, whichever is greater

Deleted Record Membership Status
When you deactivate a record (whether company or individual) Novi will remove the member "status" associated with that record, making them a non-member. This will help ensure that your reports & groups only include the records in your database that are active.
Additionally, if a deactivated record is now ever re-activated, their previous member status and information, such as member since and expiration dates, will apply.

Event Capacity Update
A quick update here! If an event has an overall event capacity set, the final registrant will not be able to register over the amount of available tickets. They will see a message in two places:
1. Under their selected ticket(s)
2. In the complete registration section
That's all for now Novi-ites! See you in a few weeks for the next release!
