Novi has made it easy to change the frontend display order of products in your store!
Say there are 10 products to add into the system all at once, but it was realized after adding them that they are out of order (whether it be by price, name, etc.).
Instead of having an out-of-order store where the first product costs $5,000, the second costs $3, etc. or products for a certain category are spread out around the page, Novi provides the Website Order tab that reflects what the order should be on the frontend.
Changing a product's website order
To change how a product(s) will appear on the fronted, follow these steps:
On the backend, go to the Ecommerce tab and select Ecommerce Settings.
Click Website Order
Website Order lists product categories with their respective products underneath them. To move products or categories, click, drag, and drop the category or product in the order it should appear on the frontend.
Understanding the website order arrows
When moving a product or category, notice that a small arrow appears on the lefthand side of the boxes. The positioning of the arrows represent the positioning of product or category where dropped.
If the arrow is above...
This means that the product/category will appear above the product/category the arrow is next to.
If the arrow is in the middle...
The product will appear WITHIN the category the arrow is next to. For example, a product placed within a category will appear on the frontend as a part of that category.
If the arrow is below...
This means that the product/category will appear below the product/categorythe arrow is next to.
