Set A Minimum Amount for Donation Products

Looking to meet a specific goal when raising funds? Use the minimum amount requirement for donations on Novi's Ecommerce Products. This ensures donations stay above the desired threshold!

After setting the Pricing as 'Donation' under the Details tab of a product, the option to include Minimum Donation will appear.

By default, Novi will not allow the Suggested Donation amount to be below the Minimum Donation amount.

When a purchaser adds the donation product to their cart and checks out, they will be prompted to enter an amount no lower than the minimum amount.

If the purchaser still tries to donate a lower amount than the minimum, they'll be unable to complete checkout. Instead, they will see a prompt indicating that their listed amount is too low.

Choose Physical or Virtual Delivery Options by Product

In today's world, ecommerce products are a fantastic way to bring in ancillary revenue, offer unique member benefits (send recordings of past webinars, forms, etc.), and otherwise increase engagement and activity with your members.

We've made it simpler for you to set which fulfillment options apply to your products (pickup, shipping, virtual), and for your members to be shown only the applicable fulfillment details they need to know for the products they're buying.

First, the site-wide set up.

You'll notice in Association Settings > Ecommerce, we’ve renamed the Shipping section to Fulfillment Options. This section offers settings that allows you to set on a broad scale, which options you offer, including:

  • Allow Pickup (allows users to select a pickup option)

    • Show Address (shows the association address as a pickup option)

    • Pickup Information (customize your pickup method for users to choose)

  • Allow Shipping (allows users to opt to have a product shipped)

    • Shipping Cost per Pound & Minimum Shipping Cost

    • Shipping Method Information (provide more info about shipping times, the provider you use, etc.)

    • Shipping accounting settings

Next, setting this up by product.

In the Details tab on a specific Ecommerce product, the Fulfillment section will allow you to set Physical Delivery, or the new option of Virtual Delivery for your product. From here, you can fill in settings like shipping weight and confirmation details/virtual delivery instructions.

This way, the system knows what to appropriately ask and display to the user while they're checking out in their cart.

Note: There is no action needed on your end for existing products unless you’d like to edit your options in Association Settings. However, we highly recommend using this as an opportunity to audit your existing products to make sure their settings are dialed in. With this new feature, pre-existing products with no shipping weight have been set to virtual delivery.

Greater Visibility for Confirmation Email Text

Product purchasers can now see confirmation details in more places beyond their order confirmation email! This way, important information about product access or fulfillment isn't lost in their inbox.

More specifically, we've added the email confirmation language on the successful order page following checkout.

Additionally, the email confirmation language is visible when clicking on each order in their My Orders tab in the Member Compass.

🗓️ Event Updates

Edit an Event’s Agenda Items

Under Event Details, we’ve added a button that allows you to easily edit agenda items!

Simply click on the pencil icon in the dark blue area to edit a particular item.

Plus, whenever you hit Add Agenda Item, the new entry's start and end times will default to the next intuitive time slot. In the example below, based on previous agenda items, the next available window is 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Frontend Attendee List Sorted by Last Name

For those who choose to display an Attendee List on frontend event pages, this list is now sorted by last name. This arrangement helps your members easily identify peers they might want to connect with at your event!

👥 Group Updates

New and Improved Group Conditions

We've added several new conditions to Novi Groups, allowing you to segment your members in more meaningful ways!

Prefix and Suffix

The conditions Prefix and Suffix can group members based on designations like Dr., MD, Esq., etc.

Original Join Date

Original Join Date - Days Ago and Original Join Date - Specific Dates can help you build a new member list or new member directory.

Membership Status: Pending

We also added Pending Membership Status as an available value. This can produce a contact list of individuals or companies that require follow-up to establish their membership.

🧭 Member Management Updates

Automatically Email New Members' Dues Transactions

As soon as a new member joins on the frontend of your website, they will now receive their dues transaction via email.

These new members can still view, pay, and print transactions in their Member Compass as always. However, they will also now have their sales receipt or invoice in hand so they can quickly submit the transaction to their accounting department.

Please note that the verbiage in this email is set up in your QuickBooks Online account.

'Default Dues Payer' is now called 'Default Billable Party for Dues'

Last year, we released a new feature called Default Dues Payer, which allows one member to pay dues billed to another, related member. For example, an apartment community may want its dues invoice billed to its management company, even if each party has its own separate membership.

To be clearer in our naming practices, this concept is now called the Default Billable Party for Dues. This title is more consistent with similar concepts in ecommerce, specifically the Default Billable Party for Events & Ecommerce.
