During the data migration process, the Novi team will review your member fields and custom fields that will be imported.
Member fields are fields that Novi already collects. Examples include: names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.
Custom fields are fields specific to your association that you have the data for and would like to bring in during the data import. Examples include: unit count, employee count, birthdays, etc. There are endless possibilities!
Things to know for data import:
When bringing custom fields in for data import, there are a few things to be aware of, depending on what kind of custom field you are bringing in:
- Checkbox: For "yes" values, the spreadsheet should say "TRUE"
- Dropdown: Values in the spreadsheet must match the values in Novi's custom field exactly - with casing and spelling.
- Multi-Selection Dropdown: Values should be separated with a semi-colon. Values in the spreadsheet must match the values in Novi's custom field exactly - with casing and spelling.
