Novi has made it easy to change the frontend display order of products in your store!

Say that you had 10 products to add into the system all at once, but only realized when you were done that you didn't add them in the order you'd like them in (whether it be by price, name, etc.). Instead of having an out-of-order store where the first product costs $5,000, the second costs $3, etc. or your products for a certain category are spread out around the page, Novi has given you... the Website Order tab.

Changing a product's website order

To change how a product(s) will appear on the fronted, follow these steps:

  1. On the backend, go to the Ecommerce tab.
  2. Click Website Order
  3. Here, you will see a list of all of your product categories with their respective products underneath them. To move products or categories, simply click, drag, and drop the category or product where you'd like it to go.

Understanding the website order arrows

When you go to move a product or category, you will notice that a small arrow appears on the lefthand side of the boxes. The positioning of the arrows represent the positioning of product or category when you "drop" it.

If the arrow is above...

This means that the product you are trying to place will appear above the product the arrow is next to.

If the arrow is in the middle...

This means that the product you are trying to place will appear WITHIN the product the arrow is next to. For example, if you place a product within a category, it will appear on the frontend as a part of that category.

If the arrow is below...

This means that the product you are trying to place will appear below the product the arrow is next to.
