Amplify™ is here, and many of you helped build it. More than 100 of you joined the beta, tested early versions, and told us what worked (and what didn't). That's why we can say Amplify is built for associations, by associations.

What is Amplify?
Amplify is the AI layer that turns your member data into answers, insights, and actions. It works inside Novi and knows how associations actually operate.
The name comes straight from our mission. From the very beginning, when people asked what Novi does, our answer was that associations create change, and our job is to amplify it. When it came time to name this AI layer, Amplify was the natural choice.
Amplify has four pillars:
Predict - Know what's coming, with Member Health®.
Ask - Have a conversation with your data, with Novi Navigator™.
Connect - Bring Novi to any AI tool, with Novi Connect™.
Act - Turn insights into action, with Novi Actions™ (coming soon).
📄 Getting Started with Amplify
Predict: Member Health®
Member Health started at a small table at an Association's North event. An association CEO said he needed engagement scoring. When Pete asked why, the answer was simple: I want to know who's most likely to drop before I send the dues invoice.
Member Health uses machine learning to sort your members into three groups:
On Track - The model is confident these members will renew.
At Risk - The model predicts that about half of these members won't renew unless someone reaches out.
New - Newer members don't have much activity yet, so they're naturally at a higher risk.
If renewal season is coming up for you, your At Risk list is a great place to start.
Member Health needs enough history to make good predictions. Today, it works for about four out of five Novi customers. If your association is newer to Novi or tracks less activity, the predictions may not show up yet.
You'll find Member Health in your member list views and in the Member Health report under Reporting > Membership > Member Health.
Ask: Novi Navigator™
Navigator started with a request we heard over and over: I want to have AI give me a summary of a member's engagement. Pete and Pete spent weeks trying to build that as a report, and kept hitting the same wall. Everyone wanted something a little different. So instead of a report, we built a way to simply ask.
📄 Explore Your Data with Novi Navigator
What you can ask Navigator
Member summaries. "Tell me about Alex Johnson." Navigator pulls event history, CE credits, NPS responses, committees, and recent activity into one short briefing. You can keep going with follow-ups like "Did he attend last year's conference?" or "What ticket did he buy?"
Filtered lists. "Filter my transactions to overdue dues invoices from this year." Navigator takes you to the transactions list and applies the filters for you. You don't have to click anything.
Event comparisons. "How is registration pacing compared to last year?" or "Which of last year's sponsors haven't signed up yet?"
Draft emails. Once you have a list, ask Navigator to write a personalized email for each person. Then copy it into your own email tool.
Charts. "Chart new members by month for the last two years." You can copy the chart as an image or export the data as a CSV.
Troubleshooting. "Why didn't this member get a dues invoice?" or "Why can't this member buy this ticket?" Navigator checks the settings and conditions and explains what's going on. Research that used to take 10 to 20 minutes now takes about 30 seconds.
One customer ran that sponsor comparison from her hotel room the night after getting access to Navigator. She emailed the 11 companies it found. By the next morning, nine had signed up.
A few things to know
Bigger questions, like comparing several years of event data, can take longer. Navigator shows its progress while it works.
If a question could mean more than one thing, Navigator may show a few buttons to help it narrow things down (for example, "Which of these sponsor tickets did you mean?").
Navigator has access to the Novi Help Center, so new staff can ask how-to questions like "How do I create an event?"
Navigator doesn't replace the blue bubble
Navigator is here to help you find answers faster on your own. When you need a person, the blue bubble is still where you'll reach one, and a real person will respond. (Don't be surprised if that person uses Navigator to help find your answer!)
Connect: Novi Connect™
Novi Connect brings your Novi data into the AI tools your team already uses, like Claude or ChatGPT. It uses a technology called MCP, so it also works with any other tools that support MCP connections.
Until recently, this kind of work meant exporting spreadsheets, uploading them to an AI tool, and hoping the data was still current. With Connect, you just ask. Novi figures out which data is needed and sends only that, pulled live from your database.
What it looks like in action
Infographics. Pete asked Claude to "build me an infographic for our golf event." Claude found the event in Novi, gathered the right data, and created a graphic. He then turned it into a PDF for the board and a black-and-white version for printing.
Member maps. "I'm in Raleigh this week. Which members are in the area?" Next came "Plot them on a map." Then "Give me a Google Map route from the airport to visit our company members." All three came from live Novi data.
Because Connect uses live data, you never work from an old export. If a member moved last month, Novi knows, and so does your map.
Teaching your AI tool your terms
Clay asked a great question during the session: can the AI learn that "member" means something specific at his association? Yes. In Claude, you can add organization or project instructions like "When I say member, I mean these member types." Novi Connect also includes member types in its answers, so your AI tool can tell members, vendors, and partners apart.
Getting Started with Amplify
An Association Admin can turn on each tool separately:
Click the Gear Icon at the top right of your admin view.
Select Amplify Settings under the Settings section.
On the Overview tab, turn on Enable Novi Navigator and/or Enable Novi Connect MCP.
If your board or leadership isn't ready for AI yet, you can turn these off. With both off, Novi won't send your data to any AI tool.
For Novi Connect, each admin signs in separately the first time they connect their AI tool.

What it costs
Your Novi subscription includes up to $10 in Amplify credits each month, per organization. Navigator and Connect share the same balance. Unused credits don't roll over. The balance resets to $10 at the start of each billing period.
If you want more, you can add a card and buy extra credits. Your complimentary credits are always used first.
To give you a sense of scale:
Most conversations cost pennies. Bigger ones run six to eight cents, and small ones cost less than a cent.
The entire live demo cost about 30 cents.
One beta customer said his team had "put it through the paces" all month and used about $3.
You can see usage anytime on the Billing History tab.
A word on security
Pete shared his advice for any association using AI tools: use a paid account, and turn on the setting that stops the AI provider from training on your data. The bigger risk is staff using personal AI accounts. A company account with training turned off is no different from the other trusted services Novi already works with, like QuickBooks or email providers. You'll find those listed on our subprocessors list.
A few other safeguards built into Amplify:
Only the data needed. Amplify turns your question into a precise database query, so it sends only the data needed to answer it, never your whole database. This also keeps answers accurate and costs low.
Admin-only access. Novi Connect requires Association Admin access. Every request checks permissions again, so if you remove someone's admin access in Novi, their AI connection stops working right away.
Private conversations. Your questions and conversations are not visible to your colleagues. Admins can see team usage and cost on the Billing History tab, but not what anyone asked.
Early wins from the beta
Several beta customers shared how they're already using Amplify:
Winning back sponsors. "Who sponsored this event in the last three years but hasn't signed up yet?" This list now gets passed straight to the events team.
Trade show outreach. One association checked who had exhibited at the last four trade shows but hadn't registered for the next one. They sent a quick "Did you know you don't have a booth this time?" email. (Everyone who has had an exhibitor show up expecting a booth knows why that matters.)
Very specific lists. "Who attended last year's conference, is still a current member, and is in these membership categories?" Another association checked which registrants didn't have a ticket for a conference add-on event.
Board check-ins. Three weeks before their annual conference, one association asked which board members hadn't registered yet. They had the answer in under 10 seconds, with no spreadsheets to compare.
Measuring what works. "Which education sessions have been most successful over the past four years?" The customer defined success by attendance and income.
One beta customer offered a friendly warning: once you get started, it's easy to look up and realize hours have gone by.
What's coming
Custom instructions for Navigator. You'll be able to set instructions for your whole organization (like "PAC means this") and for yourself (like "Answer me in bullet points"). That way, you won't have to repeat yourself.
More direct links. Navigator will soon link and filter anywhere in Novi, not just the member list and transactions list.
Act: Novi Actions™. Agentic AI that does work for you. Pete framed it this way: if Novi could do something for you tonight and have it ready by morning, what would it be?
Go deeper at Novi Summit
Novi Summit 2027, February 15 to 17, will include several Amplify sessions and a pre-conference workshop on AI and automation. We'll also take a closer look at the Act pillar. Sessions are open to every level, so you don't need to be an AI expert. Just come with ideas about what you'd love to automate.
