How to Export Your Member Data

A Step-by-Step Guide to Download Your Member Data

We understand that your data is one of your most valuable assets. That’s why we have made it as simple as possible to access and export it. Whether you’re exporting data for reporting, analysis, or backup, we ensure the process is seamless, efficient, and secure.


This guide will walk you through the simple steps to safely export your data, ensuring your information remains secure throughout the process.

Exporting Member Data

To begin exporting your data:

  1. Log into the backend of your Novi site and navigate to the Members section.

  2. Review the Available Data: In the Members list, review the visible data columns. You can export all fields or select specific ones depending on your needs. Understanding the purpose of your export is key to ensuring you get the data you require.

  3. Determine which option is best for you, then refer to the corresponding section below for next steps:

    • Option 1: Export All Member Data

    • Option 2: Export Selected Data


Option 1: Export All Member Data

If you need a comprehensive data export, including all system and custom fields, this option will download all available data into a single file. Please note that this export may be large, depending on your database size.

  • Navigate to Members > Members on the backend. (Tip: You can also click the “Novi AMS” logo at the top of the left sidebar to quickly return to the Members list.)

  • In the Members List, look for the three icons located at the top right of the list: Print, Export, and Settings (gear icon).

  • Click the Export icon (the paper with an "x" symbol) and select All Available Fields.

  • The export will begin, and you will receive a file containing all system and custom fields for your members.

Processing Time: Larger files may take longer to process. Once the export is complete, the file will be available in the Alert Center (accessible via the bell icon at the top of the page)

Option 2: Export Selected Data

If you only need specific data fields, you can choose which ones to export. Follow these steps to export only the data you need.

  • Navigate to Members > Members on the backend. (Tip: You can also click the “Novi AMS” logo at the top of the left sidebar to quickly return to the Members list.)

  • In the Members List, look for the three icons located at the top right of the list: Print, Export, and Settings (gear icon).

  • Click the Settings (gear icon) to display the available data columns.

  • Select the desired fields you wish to export. Once selected, the Member List will update on screen to reflect your choices.

  • Click the Export icon (paper with an "x") and choose Visible Fields Only to export just the columns you selected.

  • The export process will begin, and you will receive a CSV file with only the chosen data fields.
