While each association is unique and will have a slightly different experience, below is a general outline of what you can expect during onboarding.

Kick-off Call

This is the first meeting after signing your contract. Your Novi sales rep will introduce you to your point person, who will oversee your project from start to finish and post launch, and your content migration specialist, who will oversee migrating your website content.

In this meeting will review high-level items such as timeline, your current website, brand standards and documentation we will need from you. We will also establish a point person and back-up from your association and set a weekly status meeting to assign tasks and review our to-do lists.

Front-End Staging Website and Content Migration

The next step in onboarding will be to set-up, brand and migrate your website content. While your Novi team will handle your content migration, we want and value your input on content structure and the look and feel of your website.

Training

Each Novi subscription comes with remote training that is customized to your association. Training will likely begin before your website is completely finished and your data has been migrated. In-person training is available upon request and a training and travel quote will be provided.

Data

Whether we are migrating data from your current AMS or some other format, the Novi team will work with your team to export the right data. While your team will be responsible for providing the final exported .csv file, we will take that data and make sure it's imported correctly. Your team will then review the data in your staging website and give us final approval that everything looks correct.

Launch

Once your website is completely set-up, your data has been migrated and approved and your QuickBooks Online account has been synced with Novi, you are ready to launch. An engineer from our team will switch your DNS records and your website will be live to the public. Note, it could take anywhere from a couple hours to a couple days to fully switch depending on your settings.
