💳 Refund Credit Card Fees When Cancelling Event Registrations or Orders
You may know that Novi allows organizations to ask members to voluntarily cover credit card fees during online checkout.... Now, you have the choice to keep or refund/credit this fee if an event registration or product order is later cancelled! You'll be able to refund/credit the donation fee from a transaction with a quick toggle ON or OFF.
Important Notes:
If (for example) an event registration invoice covers three attendees and you cancel one, the full donation fee appears during the first cancellation. If refunded, the option disappears for future cancellations. However, if not refunded initially, it remains available for later cancellations. The same applies to event registrations with product add-ons.
Suppose the transaction was an invoice paid along with others in a single payment. In that case, the donation fee is calculated for the specific invoice rather than the total amount of the payment - to prevent refunding a donation fee amount larger than the actual transaction.
Additional Updates
Customize Directory Visibility for Organization Overviews & Bios
In Association Settings, we've added the ability for you to choose whether the Organization Overview (companies) / Professional Bio (individuals) field appears for featured or non-featured listings in applicable directories. Previously, this field was only visible for featured listings when in use.
Accessibility Updates to Set Password
We've made a few tweaks to our Set Password and Confirm Password sections for accessibility purposes. As users choose a password, the password requirements will more clearly show which requirements have been met, using icons and contrasting colors.
Updated Column Sorting
We've improved column sorting in list views and reports to make data analysis easier. Now, numeric fields sort in true numerical order (1, 2, 3… instead of 1, 134, 14), and date fields sort chronologically. No more Excel - just intuitive sorting!
Faster Merge Modal Loading
You'll notice the merge customers modal will load much quicker! We've completed some backend work that speeds up the load time here.
Updated Subprocessors List
We've updated our Novi AMS Subprocessors list to include two third parties we utilize - PostHog, our visual login and debugging tool, and “Have I Been Pwned," a tool that searches across multiple data breaches to identify potentially compromised emails or phone numbers.
