In the Spotlight
💳 Custom Invoices and Sales Receipts for Admins with Special Accounting Privileges
For those using Novi Pay, Special Accounting Privileges (SAP) admins can now create custom invoices and sales receipts for one-off transactions directly in Novi, without having to go into QuickBooks Online!
While these custom transactions should not replace standard processes like adding members, registering for events, or placing orders (which track other important data like membership dates and event participation!), this gives you the ability to generate transactions from scratch for unique situations. And even better, unpaid transactions can be edited as needed by SAP admins.
Custom invoices and sales receipts can be generated from the Quick Create section or a member’s record.

⚙️ Introducing... Admin User Preferences & Default Tabs!
Thanks to the attendees at Novi Summit 2025 for voting for this feature in our annual "You Decide the Future" session!
Personalize your admin experience with the new User Preferences page, found in the right-hand gear icon on the backend > Settings section!
This new page allows you to set a default admin landing page (i.e., Members, Accounting, Events, etc.) as well as a default tab that member records open to when you select them (i.e., Timeline, Engagement, Files, etc.), so the information you use most is always front and center.
This page also centralizes key account settings - like password management and your multi-factor authentication settings, all in one place.

⭐ Redesigned Directory Settings & Directory Member List
We’ve redesigned directory settings to give you more control over what appears in your directory and make editing easier than ever!
Directory edits now open in a full-page view with a searchable sidebar, a complete member list, and organized settings. The new Directory Members tab shows all records in the directory and includes a “Hide on Website” column so you can hide members from the frontend website directly from the list.
A few settings have also been relocated to make things more intuitive, with the addition of a new "Hide People Profiles From Directory List View" toggle that hides individual profiles from the main directory, while keeping their profiles accessible within company profiles (great for those with individual members who only want to feature their related parent companies!).
Finally, Profile Pages can now be fully managed in one place, including system/member fields, custom fields, group participation, and committee participation. Member fields have Show/Hide toggles, and directories using Featured Listings can now set fields to “Basic” or “Basic & Featured” on a field-by-field basis, per directory. New non-dues revenue opportunities anyone??

🛒 Auto-Pay for Invoiced Subscriptions
Big news! Members paying a subscription invoice can now easily opt into auto-pay for future subscription renewals, ensuring their subscription gets paid without manual invoice payments each time.
The checkout screen for invoiced subscriptions will now show a “Auto-Pay Future Subscriptions” section to the user. If someone would like to switch to credit card or ACH payments for their subscription, they can do so when they pay their next renewal.
Additionally, in the Member Compass > Orders section, we’ve updated the “Cancel Subscription” button so it now turns off future subscription renewals while keeping the subscription active until its original end date.

🗓️ Member Compass Events Tab Makeover
In Member Compass > My Events, events are now organized into new Upcoming Events and Past Events tabs, making it easier for members to quickly find what’s next without scrolling through all past events. Upcoming events show in chronological order, with “Today’s Events” highlighted in a section at the top.

📈 NEW! Revenue Change Report
Easily track how your revenue has changed over time with our new Revenue Change Summary Report, now available under Reports > Financial Reports in the backend.
Unlike the Item Sales report, which includes everything sold, this report focuses only on recognized revenue - excluding liability accounts (deferred dues or PAC donations, anyone?) - and using live data pulled directly from your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Profit & Loss report.

Other New & Noteworthy
Smarter Event Copying
When copying an event, it now opens in a modal (similar to adding a new event) for you to immediately set the new name/date and adjust key details before saving, while still retaining additional settings not shown in the modal from the original event.
The copy function also automatically updates SEO filenames, and smartly shifts all related dates (tickets, agenda, reminders, etc.) relative to the new event date - making event duplication faster and more accurate.
Payment Limits for ACH & Credit Card
You can now set both minimum and maximum transaction sizes for ACH and credit card payments within Association Settings > Payment Processing. These limits range from $1 to $50,000 (minimum can be set to $0), with limits enforced at checkout to keep transactions within the set range.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
MFA is now front and center - see which admins have it enabled right from the Admin Users page.
Clearer Payment Status for Free Registrations
Small, but helpful change! In Event Details, registrations that total $0 will now display “Free” in the Payment Status column. This aligns the list view with exports and prevents $0 registrations from being mislabeled as “Unpaid.”
Census Settings Enhancements
We’ve made several improvements to the Census Settings area based on your feedback! Key updates include clearer helper text, refreshed UI labels (i.e. "Recipients" is now "Census Members"), easier-to-read member counts, and simplified refresh controls.
In addition, you can now include fields normally marked as “not editable on frontend” in a Census - with built-in safeguards to let you know this isn't typically a field that's editable by members.
Admin View for Field Instructional Text
Admins can now see instructional text set in your field settings associated with member and custom fields throughout the backend. Previously, only select fields displayed this text, while others might have been missing the context that users on the frontend see.
Remaining Tickets Display
For events with limited-quantity tickets, now choose to automatically show the number of tickets remaining per ticket on the registration page (no more manually updating ticket names!).
In ticket settings, select the percentage of tickets sold at which the remaining count should appear. Once that threshold is reached (and the ticket isn’t sold out), the remaining quantity will display next to the ticket name on both the public event registration page and on the event in the admin.
