In the Spotlight

💳 Credit Card Convenience Fees, Upgraded

Managing credit card fees just got easier! You can now set different fee percentages based on the type of transaction (Dues, Ecommerce, or Events), and choose the minimum dollar amount per transaction before the fee applies for that specific category.

PLUS: For Novi Pay users, big news! Novi Pay makes it possible to identify whether a user’s card is a debit or credit at the time of checkout, allowing us to roll out Mandatory Credit Card Fees - a long-requested feature! When selected in Association Settings, these mandatory fees are applied automatically at checkout (no opt-in needed) and will not apply to debit cards - creating a seamless way to recover credit card processing costs without the hassle.

🛠️ Custom Report Builder Updates

Look out for some changes in the custom report builder!

We've replaced the previous Display Settings section with a new and improved (& sortable!) table that includes: Name, a "Group By" checkbox, and a multi-select Math dropdown supporting Sum, Average, and... a new Count functionality!

You’ll now see "Count" as an option under Math, and in the report detail view, count values will appear at the bottom just like Sum and Average - complete with nested counts when applicable.

This new option allows you to count non-numerical field values. For example: want to see how many people have entered a value in a certain field? "Count" it!

🪑 Configure Seat Types for Seat-Based Memberships

Introducing... Seat Types! A new way for organizations with seat-based memberships to label seats given to members.

Now, you can define custom Seat Types under the Member Benefits menu, create dues rules specific to each Seat Type, and control event ticket and product availability using Seat Type-based groups.

Whether you're managing individual seats for staff with specific professional titles, representatives, or other role-based seats, Seat Types bring more flexibility and automation to how you structure member benefits, pricing, engagement, and access.

Find the new Seat Types option in your Member Types under the Member Benefits tab.

🛒 NEW! Cart Abandonment Email

We’ve added a powerful new tool to help boost your ecommerce revenue - Cart Abandonment Reminder Emails!

When a logged-in user adds products to their cart but doesn’t complete their purchase, this feature gently nudges them via email to return and complete their checkout. It’s a simple, automated way to ultimately help you drive more sales.

You can find this setting under Associations > Ecommerce. Choose how soon the reminder goes out - 1 hour, 6 hours, 10 hours (turned on by default), or 24 hours after the last cart update.

🔔 Note: Emails will not be sent to users who have “Do Not Send Marketing Emails” enabled in their profile.

👥 Member List Stage Area Makeover

You’ll notice some new updates on the Members List stage! The member type boxes still show counts for current and inheriting members, but now you’ll also see an info section that breaks down the additional member statuses in a given member type - giving you a fuller picture at a glance.

We’ve also included a quick visual cue to indicate whether each member type is for companies or individuals. At the end, you’ll find a new "Total Members" box that tallies all member statuses across types.

Bonus: The order of the member type boxes now matches the order on your Members > Member Types page. Want to change it? Just drag & drop them on that page, and the stage will update automatically!

Other New & Noteworthy:

🏙️ New Directory Option: Show Only City & State For People

  • Instead of sharing an individual's full shipping address, you can now choose to display only city and state for people in the member directory, keeping addresses private while still supporting local, peer-to-peer connection.

This allows for greater privacy, while still using features like the Map View and location filters. Note: Zip Code and Country filters in the directory will continue to work, though the data for those fields will not display on a person's profile.

🔍 Improved Member Search For Special Characters & Accents

  • Member name searches now work even if you skip accents or special characters in search fields across the admin section! This means you can now easily find names like “René” simply by typing “rene”, without needing to enter special characters or accents. Keeping it simple!

📦 New Order Fulfillment Statuses: In Progress & On Hold

  • You can now manage ecommerce orders more effectively with two new fulfillment statuses: In Progress and On Hold. You’ll now see these new options available as fulfillment status options throughout the order workflow - making it easier to manage orders that are actively being worked on or temporarily paused.

An update originally requested by admins at Novi Summit '25’s Feature Request Wall!

📋 Event Rosters Now Sort Your Way!

  • You can now sort event attendee rosters and sign-in sheets by Company Name (or any column available in the list view). The roster will follow the sort order you’ve set in the event attendee list, making it easier to print sheets that match how you manage your events. If the selected sort column isn’t shown on the roster, it will default to the usual attendee name sort.

📈 NPS List Default Filter Update

  • We’ve removed the default “Last 365 Days” date filter from the NPS score list, making it faster to review and compare member scores over any timeframe.

Since most members submit scores less frequently, this allows you to see all available feedback without adjusting filters.
